The band officially began in June of 2002 as a duo. Chuck Levy and Chuck Traubman left a larger project seeing that the local bar scene was looking for a smaller and more personal approach to music. Soon after Jim Stocker was added to the line-up to handle lead guitar and back-up vocals.

The show is mainly acoustic with bass handling the bottom end of the songs. The band does not utilize any percussion instruments so the sound level does not boom and allows people to communicate even in small intimate settings. We are happy to adjust our sound level to best suit where and to whom we are playing. We play a variety of classic rock and alternative music in order to appeal to a wide range of tastes.  Please see our Song List page.  Any suggestions regarding the addition of songs to our list are welcomed.

The second version of the band was born when we were looking for a way to expand our playing abilities/styles by going with a more modern hard rock sound. Since the spring of 2005 we have been auditioning people and ideas for this venture and during the summer we nailed down the songs that we wanted to perform and the new member (Vaughn Irving) that would round out the band. We have taken some of the material from the original band that is suitable for our mission with this incarnation. Mid-Life Crisis is an acoustic trio or an electric 4 piece depending upon the venue.

We frequent the Morris County bar scene and play many private parties throughout the course of the year. Please see our Band Schedule
page for up and coming performances. If you are a bar owner or throwing a party and would like to contact us, please go to our Contact page and send us an e-mail.
